In the face of unprecedented threats to cancer research, The Mark Foundation’s grantees and partners continue to drive meaningful scientific progress. Read on to learn about their recent achievements — and a major milestone for The Mark Foundation.

Introducing the Samuel Waxman Institute for Aging & Cancer

The new Waxman Institute will operate as a subsidiary of The Mark Foundation and represents a new future for SWCRF. The institute, the first in the world dedicated exclusively to the link between aging and cancer, is a natural next step in a successful multi-year partnership. It will enable us to place a critical focus on aging—the single most significant risk factor for cancer—while our broader mission to support breakthrough science across all cancer types remains unchanged.

Recent Grantee Publications

In the second quarter of 2025, our awardees’ publications included 12 papers in top scientific journals, with topics ranging from geographic and age variations in colorectal cancer mutations to the development of covalent degraders for prostate cancer cells.

Welcoming New Mark Foundation Team Members

This summer, we added two talented new members to the Mark Foundation team. Please join us in welcoming them!
