CD8+ T cells are vital for fighting cancer, yet they often struggle to effectively combat brain metastases. With her EACR-Mark Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship, Dr. Mazet is using advanced cellular and molecular techniques to identify the precise biological processes that limit CD8+ T cells’ effectiveness in the brain. Ultimately, this research aims to lay the groundwork for developing novel strategies to boost immune responses against metastatic brain cancer, offering new hope in a challenging area of oncology.
