Amy Fehir

Head of Development


Amy Fehir joined The Mark Foundation in June 2023 as the Head of Development. Prior to joining the organization, Amy served as a Senior Director of Business and Program Development at the Milken Institute. In this role, she built the fundraising strategy and led the team focused on securing and stewarding support for MI’s centers and programs in health, finance and philanthropy, including FasterCures, the Center for Public Health, the Center for the Future of Aging, Feeding Change, the Center for Financial Markets and the Center for Strategic Philanthropy.

Amy has held a variety of communications, partnerships and fundraising roles, including time spent at the United Nations Foundation (UNF), Conservation International, the National Park Service (NPS), and the World Health Organization. During her time at UNF, she managed key strategic communications relationships on behalf of the organization, including partnerships with major brands, marketing partners, and individual supporters. She also cultivated partners within the entertainment industry to build the voice of UNF’s campaigns and supported the work of the United Nations Creative Community Outreach Initiative. Additional professional experience includes two years overseeing environmental grants in Europe, Asia, and Africa for Conservation International as part of the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund. In 2008, Amy worked at the World Health Organization on World Health Day, which was focused on climate change’s impact on health.

Amy started her professional career as a Park Ranger. She continues to stay active in a variety of organizations focused on the protection of America’s public lands and environment. Amy serves as the Executive Director of a nonprofit for current and former NPS employees with a mission to study, educate, speak and act for the preservation and protection of the National Park System.

Amy received her BA in Political Science and Public Health from Boston University, and an MPS in Political Management from George Washington University.
