Dissecting the Pivotal Role Of IFN-G in the Perivascular Microenvironment of Brain Metastasis

2026 EACR-Mark Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow

Alberto Hernandez Barranco, PhD, University of Lausanne

Dr. Hernandez Barranco’s research is focused on understanding innate mechanisms of immune suppression in brain metastasis by dissecting the role of interferon-gamma (IFNγ) in the perivascular niche through orthogonal approaches. The goal of this project is to better understand why immune responses and immunotherapy efficacy are impaired in the brain compared to primary tumors.
